Mimi G

This is a nice poetry book with illustrations that coincide with certain poems. There are some really beautiful poems, but I am a bigger fan of pretty, happy, “life is wonderful” poetry. I think that the best way I can describe Mimi’s poetry is that it reminds me of Lana Del Rey, Melanie Martinez, and a little bit of Simon and Garfunkel. It’s eccentric and unique. I really enjoyed the poems:
6:30 a.m., Together, Laughter Sparks*, Displaced, Midnight Prince*, The Art of Resilience, Family*.
