Shadowrun: One of those guilty pleasures I like to delve into from time to time for something quick and dirty to read. Something were you generally know what you're getting into.

This short story that more truly feels like the first chapter of a serialised novel. I feel I don't know enough about the Shadowrun world to understand some of the references to things, but it didn't interfere too much with the story.
