{My thoughts} – I have become a huge fan of these books ever since I ran across you should Never Touch a Dragon a couple of years back. I have slowly been working on trying to get my hands on more of the series. I think it’s a colorful and fun series for children.

The cover is bright and eye catching and appealing. The texture differences that are on each page help to engage your child in more then just sight. The words and text are also formatted in different ways to help appeal to your child. It is colorful, fancy and fun.

This particular book is about monsters and it is written in a rhyme like pattern. It talks about the illustrations as well as how you should avoid monsters. It shows children that really you shouldn’t touch them or go near them at all but it does it in a silly way that is sure to entertain them once they are able to understand the context of the words within the rhymes.

I recommend this book for any child that enjoys touching and feeling different kinds of textures. I also recommend it for any child that enjoys being read to on a regular basis. This book has the potential to become a loved book for children.

{My thoughts} – My 10 month old is at the age where she loves to touch and see how different things feel. She also enjoys being able to put different things in her mouth as well. I can’t tell you the number of times books have been in her mouth because, well, she’s at that age. When I was shopping at Sam’s Club I ran across this book and I just had to buy it for her.

I haven’t given it to her yet, because I wanted to review it first. I am certain that it is going to be one of her favorite books. It has so many different kinds of textures that start on the cover and continue through each of the pages. The text is bright and fun colors. The illustrations are the same bright and fun colors you see in the text. The words on the pages go nicely with the illustrations.

I recommend this book for any child that enjoys touching and feeling different kinds of textures. I also recommend it for any child that enjoys being read to on a regular basis. This book has the potential to become a loved book for children.

Easily one of the most-ridiculous books that I've ever read.

A very interesting switch on the "my girlfriend used to be a boy" trope. The jock who falls in love with the princess did it *because* she is trans. Or is there more to it? There most assuredly is!

Personally this was the first in the advent calendar I didn't care for. It was a cute book and it rhymes but poop isn't a big winner over here.

This is a cute short story about little monsters that eat away your worries. Whenever the monsters sense a feeling of worry in someone, they come and eat all the worries away! I think this is a great book to talk about the feeling of anxiety and worry with your students. You can encourage habits you can do to take away your worries. This would be best for primary students.

Alfie, a Christmas elf, wants to win the selfie contest. He tries very hard, but doesn't take good pictures until he is working together with his friends.
