Grace needs a job and she takes up the position of maid for a millionaire couple. Grace learns the ways of the household until it becomes too much for her to handle. There are different character perspectives so readers gain a great insight behind the characters featured as well as the overall narrative. However, it requires understanding the context for the first half to know whose perspective it is - since it's written in first-person and the story uses more pronouns than names. The book is written in the present tense so readers read the narrative in real-time. A personal pleasant way to read since nothing in the future can be foreseen and readers learn what happens at the same time as the characters. The story is visually descriptive and reads quite young.

Short but sweet, non stop action, I adored this book.

Sick Girl: a Psychological Thriller. Rachel Hargrove. 2018. This Kindle trash is a twisted sick book. That being said, I did finish it. It is told in alternating chapters by Aubrey and Melissa. Both of them are struggling with fatal cancers. Aubrey is having an affair with Melissa’s husband and plans to kill Melissa. As the book proceeds you realize nothing is as it seems. Who are the villain and/or villainess? You need a strong stomach to read this book.

Quick, fast paced read. Lead detective is wanting supposed to have a day off, but we all know in that field of work- there is no such thing as a day off. Getting on the train to visit her father is where it all starts! I enjoyed the story line and would definitely look to read more by this author.

This book blew me away. I was literally on the edge of my seat, ignoring the world around me. It has been a while since a book engaged me like this one. Great story line, superb plot and characters and filled with nail biting tension!

I think that fans of Jeffery Deaver will enjoy this book. Gritty and very realistic

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for providing me with the opportunity to read and review this book.

Detective Julia Sawyer thought she was going to have a nice relaxing dinner with her father when she stepped on that train, little did she know it would be the ride of her life! One Way Ticket by Rachel Hargrove is a well-written, intense, and fast-paced thriller that grabs you right from the start. A fantastic debut novel - I'm already looking forward to the sequel! Highly recommend if you are a fan of James Patterson's "Bookshots" short novels.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for the ARC of this book.
