OMG. Nicci, you have memorized and dazzled me with this newest offering. As a fan of dystopian books, this one checks all my boxes!

Just because this is a mafia romance does not mean that the spicy goodness is missing. Nope, it is still there as you know Nicci would not let us down, but this story is more than just about the spice. It is a whole experience! You are going to want to drop everything to read this book.

Aster and Prince Rome share a strong connection that is both emotional and physical. Aster blooms as the story progresses into the queen she is meant to be. Rome may be a beast, but he is gentle with Aster. I liked seeing this other side of him when he and Aster were alone versus the commanding side when he was in public.

The other Silk Girls are great. Love that they were so supportive of Aster. I hope to see them again maybe in future books in this series.

The Audio version is amazing!
I don't even know what to say. This book hit all the highs and the lows.
Brought out emotions that I thought I wouldn't feel in a book. The narrators brought this story to life! You could feel the emotions from them knowing they felt them too. This is my first 5 star read of the year. (2024). I can wait to dive into part 2!!

Wow, the first book was full of spice but this one is full on smutty goodness! I devoured this novella in a matter of a few short hours. After the cliffhanger ending, I needed to know what was going to happen to Donnie and Tyler.

In the first book, Donnie was kind of running the show and Tyler was the silent one. Yet, he had a reason for being silent and when it was revealed my heart broke for him. In this book, for about forty percent of the story it is mainly the Tyler show.

Not much was disclosed about Tyler and Donnie's older brother, Dexter. In this book, the mysterious Dexter is revealed. Oh boy oh boy, did I fall for him. He was a really good addition to this group. While this book is all about the spiciness, there was a moment between Tyler and Dexter that was very heartfelt. Nicci, I am here for all the smut!

From the author who brought us the Buther Men comes this new super, spicy, dark, series. It is so spicy that Nicci created her own "black" label for this series.

This book definitely check's the mark for "masked" men. I really enjoyed the fact that Vallie is a curvy FMC. You can never have enough curves and curvy women are great. Where Tyler and Donnie are concerned, I went for Tyler. Yet, I did feel myself gravitating towards Donnie, even if I "hated" him. Ok, maybe not hate but he presented a much colder exterior. Yet it was that last act towards the end of the story that had me in his corner. I can't wait to read the next book and meet the infamous Dexter.

3.5 stars...for now. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this one. It may require some time to sit with it, or perhaps a relisten. I will probably listen to the second book in the duet.½

As usual, Nicci out does herself with this book. I absolutely loved it so much. yet, at the same time i was trying to read it very slowly knowing this was the last book to this series. A series that I hold near and dear to my heart. The Butcher Boys are amazing. The tribe of Butcher Girls just as awesome, one that I am lucky and happy to be a part of.

OMG, I thought I was ready for Xander's story, but nothing prepared me for the emotions I had reading this book. Max is still my favorite, but Xander is right up there now. All I wanted to do was to hold him. He found a good one in Kaya. Loved her wildcat, feisty side to her.

While I did not cry, I almost lost it towards the end with Bronson's letter and when all of the Butcher Boys were hanging out talking about family and their futures. A fitting ending to this beloved series.

After reading His Pretty Little Burden, I have been so ready to read this conclusion to Clay and Fawn's story together. Well, I am very happy to report that Nicci did not let me down. Not that I even thought she would. If anything, she gave me so much more than I thought possible with these two.

It has been great to see Fawn blooming into a woman. She has found her voice and that is thanks to Clay. He is very intimidating but when it came to Fawn, he was like a big, tough puppy dog. In other words, they both needed each other. To quote Fawn..."He's not the villain of my story".

Warning: If you don't like spicy, smutty books than turn around now and do not pass go. Yet, if you eat smut for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert than you definitely need to read His Pretty Little Burden and His Pretty Little Queen.

I have read every book in this series except for this one. So, to go backwards and read this one was very nice. It gave me a bit more insight into just who Konnor really is. He is someone that is filled with anguish but a great protector as well. It is evident in the way he cared for Blesk.

Blesk herself came with a past as well. Therefore, these two had a lot stacked against them but they fought their demons and were able to lean on each other. Although, Blesk had another person she could count on and that is Elise. Elise had me laughing with her witty humor. We all need an Elise in our lives.

My only "small" complaint is that it felt like it took longer for Konnor and Blesk to bring the heat. Yet, as this is a Nicci book, you can guarantee that the sparks are flying between Konnor and Blesk. So hot. If you are going to go for the older man than you do need to go for someone like Konnor. I am ready for more steamy times with the Butcher men!

Nicci does it again with this newest offering in this series. With each book my love for the Butcher men just grows even stronger. This book was no exception with the domineering Clay Butcher. Yet, when it came to Fawn aka Little Deer, he rode a fine line with not being too harsh with Fawn. Also, can I take a moment to just mention the sex scenes...holy hell!!

There might have been some mental role playing going on in my head while reading this book. Where I imagined myself in Fawn's shoes. She is one very luckily woman. Just when I think I have a favorite Butcher guy, Nicci comes out with the next book, and I fall in love with the next one. So, you can say that my favorite is all Butcher men. Which it was great to see them in this book as well.

Nicci does it again with this newest book in the Kids of The District series. I thought Max was my favorite but sorry not sorry. Bronson is my new favorite Butcher brother. He has this rough but rareness about him that draws me to him. He and Shoshanna are the perfect match. To semi quote Megan Fox "Bronson and Shoshanna are twin flames. From the first moment that they met; they were meant for one another.

The sexual chemistry these two shared is off the charts. I was loving every moment of this book. I could not read it fast enough. Once I started, I literally could not stop. My heart was breaking over and over again with these two. Shoshanna is a fiery firecracker. She knew just how to push Bronson's buttons. Yet, looking into Bronson's eyes had her melting under his touch.

Warning: You may need to have a cardiologist on speed dial; as your heart will be ripped apart and slowly pieced back together while reading Her Way by Nicci Harris.

I just finished this duet. At 642 pages, it is a tome. Yet, so worth it and it will not even feel like it is that long. I thought the first story was great but the second half completed me. The first half tugs at your heartstrings and the second half rips them apart in a good way. I want to read Bronson's story as well as the other Butcher Brother books.

The chemistry between Cassidy and Max is so HOT. I could feel every emotion that they were going through as I was fully invested in the both of them. Cassidy and Max are kind of like Beauty and the Beast. Max is the ultimate bad boy but underneath all of that tough exterior does reside a beating heart. This duet is a five star recommended read.
