Rezensionen

Though the book is somewhat dated, I nevertheless found the author's treatment of faith and theological topics to be clear, relevent, acessible. Now retired I still found it most enjoyable to read and only wish I could have carefully read it at the beginning of my ministry as a parish pastor.

The book includes 13 chapters divided into four major divisions: Introduction: Our Need for Faith; Part One: God's Work for Man; Part two: God's Work in Man; Part Three: Man's Work with God. For example in Part Three we see 3 chapters: The Christian Ethics of Response; The Response of Worship; and The Response of Service. In this last chapter the author has sections on: Our Service to God, on the Demands of Christian Love, the Response of Stewardship, The Response of Family Life, and the Response of Play. Elsewhere in the book are topics such as: The Holy Spirit, the Kingdon of God, Eternal Life, etc. -- Dave
