- Since 2012 Margaret O Hogartaigh was a Lecturer in Medicine at Harvard University and was a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland. She previously taught at the University of Limerick and at Dublin City University.
She died on 17th December 2014, at her home in Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

This book is a critical appraisal of Lynn's life making a comprehensive use of both her opinions in her diaries and other reference material from contemporaries and other books on Irish social history and Irish health policy. Óhógartaigh makes clear this is not hagiography and is keen to provide a much needed appraisal of a woman who made a real impact in Irish health affairs from independence until her death and who played a significant role in the Easter Rising and in Sinn Féin during the War of Independence. Her opinions of her contemporaries change over time through her diaries as does her opinion of world affairs, particularly her views on both the Soviet Union and Germany pre and post World both War Two.… (mehr)
