Dwight Holing

The story is interesting, but I keep getting sidelined with references to things that did not exist in the late 60s. Affordable desk top computers, sophisticated software not using punchcards, 24-hour convenience stores, cold medicine ingredients common today after decades of R&D. With those distractions, the story is nigh impossible to follow.

If there were more in this series, I wouldn’t read them because the anachronisms are too much to overlook.

Wow what a great start to a adventure/mystery series!
Jack is a con man, checked that a con man going legit, for his wife Katie. Katie’s brother isn’t too sharp and gets involved in a criminal enterprise and drags Jack into it as well. That’s is when the the crosses and double crosses and backstabbing starts.
The story takes place in San Francisco and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

The second book in the series and stronger than the first, it also takes place in San Francisco

Great way to wrap up a fantastic four book series
Lots of likable characters and great storylines where the bad guys usually get what they deserve.
I look forward to reading the Nick Drake series by this author.
