Good ol' Dennis the Menace! How could you not love this blonde haired cute kid...even if he is a tad on the mischievous side? In this book Dennis learns that adults don't like it when dogs don't behave and soon he is faced with the fact that his new best friend Ruff, may be sent away by his parents if he continues to be naughty. Dennis takes it upon himself to "help" Ruff be good and helpful. His plans don't really go according to his thoughts and soon Ruff is one bad action away from leaving forever. Can Dennis make sure his best friend is not sent away? Will he and Ruff learn to behave?

This is such a cute story of a boy and his dog. I actually found this book in a pile of my husbands childhood books. I love Dennis the Menace, so reading this book was so exciting for me. The pictures are so vibrant and colorful! The words are easy for young reader, but engaging for the older readers too. It's an all around cute story with some good lessons in it too. Such a great read for all ages! A must read oldie but goodie!!!
