Twisted Tales: Unhinged Retellings of Beloved… von Noelle W. Ihli
I'm not entirely sure who the ideal audience is for this book. It might be too dark for little kids, but too cringey for older ones. I liked the spin on the classic children stories, but only like two or three. The others were too absurd or just weird to me, personally. I will add that some made me laugh with how silly it was. I don't think I'd read this again. But it is a quick read and might be your thing to read this Spooky Halloween season.
First off, 5 stars to the cover, but the story itself fell flat. I wanted to to like it more, but I just couldn't connect with either of the characters. I like a good thriller that keeps you turning the page, but I was only turning the pages just to get it done. Wanted to call it quits in the beginning. It picked up about a quarter of the way, however, the choices the characters make are just not fully believable and there was no character growth. There were excessive repeated words throughout the novel. And the end, well, that was pure telling.… (mehr)
(Audiobook version) I am so glad I found this author. This audiobook was better than expected - being told from the perspective of dead girls.
He thought he could go around killing girls with no repercussions. Too bad for him he had no idea the things he was setting in motion.
The narrator nailed this. Sometimes when listening to an audiobook you can start to tune the narrator out and lose focus because well, they suck at narrating. I do at least. Allison Delaney has the perfect voice for this and the one small singing part … just beautiful!

intense Thriller
This was an intense and suspenseful read! With non-stop action this will be a hard one to put down. Has everything you’d want in a thriller.
