Very much in the style of the other books in the series, this is a collection of little-seen or unseen photos from the early stages of the Great Patriotic War, from the German border to the outskirts of the city itself. A good photo reference source for modellers,wargamers and military historians.

Excellent photohistory of the USSR-Finnish Winter War of 1939-40, utilising a great many photos never seen in the West (or indeed, at all) before. Breaking down the war by theatre and sector, the book forms a comprehensive and enlightening survey of one of Europe's more obscure wars.
I have recently found it is going to be the first in a series of 8-9 books. If the others maintain this quality, it will be a valuable addition to this under-examined area of history.

The best book on the military aspects of the Winter War between the USSR and Finland that money can buy. It is neutral in outlook, full of interviews with veterans and dispels quite a few myths about the war. In addition, it puts a human face on the Soviet veterans of the war, and outlines the nature of their battle. Highly recommended.

Photobook of rare photos of the 1941 Finnish offensive against the Soviets in the Karelian Isthmus. Most of the photos here are published for the first time. The explanatory text is in both Russian and English. Specialised but still highly recommended.
