I love that each century is presented from a child's perspective! My four year old is fascinated, wondering what each child's life is like!

Jackson describes the first day of each century from 1000 to 2000 through the eyes of a "typical" child.
On the two page spread, she includes eyeopening facts like:
In 1000, books are very valuable. Most people have never seen one. Most people never handle money.

In 1600, barbers cut hair but they also pull teeth and perform minor surgery.
