H.K. Jacobs

I thought this was a good read. A bit slow in the beginning for me. I did not feel the emotional attachment to the characters at first. In fact, I restarted the book when I was in a better mind set as well and it went better the second time around.

I know this story is about Alex and Ian, but I really liked Alex's best friend, Rox. She was very supportive of Alex. The type of friend that everyone would be so luckily to have in their life. Where Ian is concerned, I had mixed feelings about him. On one hand I could see he was a charmer. The way he treated Alex in the beginning and then tried to pass it off so easily did not go with for me. However, I could see that he did love Alex as well and they did share good chemistry.

The turmoil that Alex was experiencing was felt as I was reading. I felt for her, which did bring me closer to her. I would have liked a bit more of the medical side to be featured in the story as the book to be seemed to be more a romance with self-discovery mixed with a bit of medical drama. Yet, I did still like this book and would try another book by the author in the future.… (mehr)
