A little monster, Lemmy, is about to meet his new stepmother for the first time during a parental visit. The author does a good job describing the fears and concerns Lemmy has. The grandmother tried to prepare Lemmy for the meeting. What was missing was the father’s part in the transition.

Dottie’s brother Lemmy is missing and she think monsters have kidnapped him. Dottie wanders around the house gathering clues and piecing together memories. Finally, her mother and Lemmy solve the mystery. There is a serious fault in this book. If Dottie is old enough to talk and walk, and Lemmy goes back and forth between homes, why is Dottie panicking this time.
