Kevin James is an Australian ex-pat with a British passport, who works for an American multi-national and does a very good impression of a Londoner when on the escalator at Piccadilly Circus.

His original book was The Eating Guide to Soho (now in its 5th Edition). So for the past thirteen years he has been eating and drinking his way through London and only his sense of the surreal has stopped him becoming a huge food snob.

In 2003 he came up with the idea for a modern gay version of Sherlock Holmes (and once he had removed 'Sherlock' - because it was a stupid name and no one these days would be called it!) he set to work. Over the next 11 years, he created the numerous novels (and the occasional short story) that followed.

A struggling media executive, he started writing the Holmes & Watson novels as a love letter to the city, the men and the lifestyle he'd fallen in love with.

He still lives in hope that his life can be a constant whirl of flat whites in cafés, martini's in hotel bars and dinner with interesting women. He'd also like the fridge full of champagne, an inactive basset hound at his feet while he cooks the Sunday roast, an adoring boyfriend with good taste in TV shows and lots of buff, straight gym boys impressed by his dead-lifts.
