Lighting up Christmas by SInclair Jayne
This story follows RIley and she's approaching the town to enhance the Christmas marketplace. She had prepared presentations for the council but the mayor keeps putting her off and now it's just around the holidays and they state they have no money for the endeavor. She has many means to make things come together, very imaginative and cunning. She meets the new owner of Tully lands where she used to play and gets him to ask her to his lands to show the lightings she has for sale. Zhanz is the land owner now and has his own way of doing things, likes his space. He doesn't know what to make of her and thinks it is just like when his grandfather met his spouse. He is attracted to her and her to him...there is turmoil and misunderstandings...
Love harring about the others in town as I am familiar with the characters.
Really enjoy this series of Bear Creek.

The Christmas Blueprint by Sinclair Jayne
This story starts out with Sophia and her best friend Riley attending a town meeting. Sophia wants to be on the board to determine what to do with town land. She's already an accomplished planner running other yearly events around town. Love how she gets others involved for the good of the town.
Story also follows Killain who is a planner from Seattle and he's back home and is on the planning commission. He only plans to stay a year, as long as his job contract is for. He finds other work there that will also keep him busy.
Love hearing all the details of the events and these will help me set up for craft shows displaying my knitted items. Love hearing about the felted wool items and making wreaths for anybody interested.
So much excitement and festivities around town.
They do get together but because of the mayor's plans they fall apart once again as there are unspoken words that could make a difference.
Beautiful holiday read. Very sparky and snarky, what a combination.
Not predictable at all. Can't wait to read more from this series.
Received this review copy from the publisher and this is my honest opinion.

Marry Me Please, Cowboy (The 85th Copper Mountain Rodeo Book 3) by Sinclair Jayne
Starts with how this series came about.
Story starts with Willow and her brother Jace grew up on the farm. She’s a barrel rider for the rodeo..
She's pregnant and she's not sure still what to do...What I love about this story is you get to hear what’s in her mind as she’s thinking it. Same with other characters, you learn about their past and all little details of how they grew up.
Story also follows Jake who's a bull rider at the rodeo. So financially unstable they discuss flowers and wedding dress and she had plans for those already, with her money... Jake heads off to do his promotional work to earn more money.
The cowboy that's left behind is the best man of Jake, Huck and he served with her brother Jace in the war and will be escorting her down the aisle...
Lots of twists and turns and issues they all need to work through.
Love romantic gestures, caring for elders through thick and thin, to coming up with solutions to their own problems in a loving way.
Love all explicit descriptions of the locale, places I'm familiar with and the little things that matter the most.
Adult situations.
First time reading this author and I can't wait to read more.
About the author and her works are listed at the back of the book.
A KEEPER!

Kane discovers he has a daughter when he goes to an art auction that has a statue of him bull riding. There he meets his ex-lover Sky. Both are not happy with the situation but must work together to decide how to raise Montana, their daughter.

I enjoyed this story. There are a lot of trust issues between Kane and Sky. I can understand both positions but I sided with Sky. She let Montana know who her dad was but had no contact with him. Sky is very strong although she does not realize it. She needs Kane to show her the strength she has. Kane is often too closed mouth but expects her to open up about everything. He needs Sky to show him that not everyone betrays. I liked the rodeo setting and the tiny glimpse behind the scenes. I plan to read more of this series.

I loved everything about this book - great storyline, character development and dialogue. The chemistry between Lane and Luz is sizzling and Sinclair Jayne did a good job of characterizing their emotions at the situation they've found themselves in. The finale with her abusive ex-husband makes you want to cheer out loud! This is the third in the Sons of San Clemente series and I hope there's more to come for some of the other characters.

Amazing writing! Sinclair Jayne is fast becoming one of my favorite authors - despite the novella length of the book, she manages to bring depth to the characters and plot which is often not the case in a novella. Colt and Talon together are smoking hot, right from the start. I loved every bit of this book - it's a must-read!

Alright, so this is going to be a really short review, because I just couldn't finish this book. In fact, I didn't finish Chapter 1. The writing was terrible. Tortuously long sentences, with far too many adjectives stuffed in to keep track of. As a general rule, if you regularly have paragraphs that are a single sentence - you need to edit! I was struggling with that when I got to the first description of the hero, including his black beanie. Uhhhh... what now?

I don't know about you, but when I see beanie, this is what I think of - those little multi-coloured caps with the propeller on top. I don't care if it's black, if the guy I'm supposed to fall a little bit in love with is wearing one of these, un-ironically, you've lost me.

This book gets one star from me and I don't even feel bad about it.

If a relationship has no trust how can it be expected to work? Hollis and Kaden allowed anger, mistrust and pride to put an end to their relationship. Now each has reached a crossroads in life. Hollis is returning home after another failure in her professional life and Kaden is dealing with injuries that could prove to be the end of his career. Hollis decision to walk away and now return home has set in motion the events that could help heal two hearts and mend what was broken all those years ago. Ms. Jayne not only wrote a story of second chances but she also brought each character back to the place it all began. Wrecked is a story about the power of trust and how important that trait is. It also shows how pride can wreck the strongest bond. I liked it.

Tucker is the adventurous twin. Her choices have been risky and shock worthy to many but the thrill of the unknown for her outweighed the people she hurt. Now older and wiser from the life experience under her belt, the adrenaline rush of excitement has become the reflective voice of regret. The Christmas Challenge had it's share of growing pains, but it also learned from them. That is the takeaway from Tucker and Laird's journey. It takes more strength to face down fears than it does to run away from the pain of regret. To forgive and be forgiven was the ultimate reward in this story of redemption.

Kane is an island. At the top of his game, he has no time to be sidetracked, until his past and present collide. Now this island dweller is about to become a family man. Kane is a wonderful example of what draws readers to Sinclair Jayne. Stirring up the pot is a natural born talent of this gifted writer. There is always a twist to keep the story fresh and the characters on their toes. The quintessential page turner, Ms. Jayne never leaves home without her A game.

I love Sinclair Jayne's male characters. Dark, broody, sort of bad boys with good intentions and hearts of gold. And her female characters are always inspiring; strong women ready to overcome every hurdle life throws their way. The same goes for Colt and Talon. The attraction between them is instant, explosive. And each has a past. Colt has ghosts that haunt him and Talon has struggled every step of the way to get to where she is in life today. They quite complement each other but Colt has to let go of his preconceived notions about the kind of man he is, long enough to give them a chance. Completely in love with the way this book ends and a lovely little teaser to a possible follow-up story in there as well. Keeping my eyes peeled for that one,

These two characters are so opposite to each other but share so much that is the same. Dare never thought she'd find someone to love ever again and Lock just didn't trust himself enough to have a relationship with anyone. But for them, it was love at first sight. They just didn't know it yet. The book follows their time together as Dare who initially gets jostled from one firehouse to another and finally ends up at Lachlan's. Keeping this firecracker under control is more than Lock can handle but protecting his heart from her is even more difficult than he can imagine. Dare is clinging on to a ghost but Lock is fast breaking through her defenses. In spite of each of them placating themselves that their relationship has an expiry date, love has much greater and better plans for them.

I’ve not read Laird, Kane or Luke’s stories but this book has me intrigued about the Wilder family. I love everything Marietta and ever since I read Sinclair Jayne's Sons of San Clement series (very sad that hasn't continued beyond 2 books) I have enjoyed and look forward to her stories.

Walker and Calum’s story is quite sweet. Though they both have a void in their lives due to their turbulent childhoods, somehow together, the walls they built to protect themselves come tumbling down. The inexplicable attraction is consolidated when certain spectral events cause them to bond. Walker has never trusted easily and plays her hand close to the vest. So when certain secrets that she’s hiding are revealed in the most unfortunate way, everything between them goes awry. But even in their estrangement, Calum begins to understand that Walker’s intent was never to mislead him, and the situation was more bad timing than lies. Calum’s raw honesty and willingness to bare his soul was what appealed to me the most. Starting over with the right person makes it easier.

Miranda Evans is finally making her dream come true, a gift boutique promoting local artists and products in the historic Graff hotel. Her bright, giving personality catches orthopedic surgeon Whitman Telford by surprise. Coming from this small town himself, he is eager to get this short stint at Marietta General over with before beginning his dream job in L.A. He never expected to ever come back here nor had he ever expected Miranda to get under his skin the way she does.

Miranda's Valentine project gets the whole town involved, including the former boy next door, Dr. Whitman. Her girlhood crush is once again in the neighborhood, stirring up old feelings. But when an unexpected emergency in Whit's family results in little Petal being put in his care, Miranda steps in to lend a helping hand. Soon Whit finds himself depending on Miranda for more than childcare. This quirky and very sweet romance will have you in its grip till the end because it is so endearing.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the 6th book in the American Extreme Bull Riders Tour (AEBR), and 4th in The Wilder Brothers series.
Kane is a pro bull rider, one of the best and he is called in to explain a sculpture of a picture him, shirtless and tattooed being promoted at an art auction. This doesn’t fit in with the AEBR’s image of clean-cut cowboys and Kane heads to fix the problem.
Sky is Kane’s ex. She is the artist who used his image, one she had sold the rights for to AEBR. Sky has a secret.
Kane swaggers into the auction and shocked Sky to her core. Although Kane is in for a hock of his own when his 3-year-old daughter, one he didn’t know about, ran across the floor into her mother’s arms, then launched herself into his upon recognising him.
What follows is a whirlwind of decision making, explanations, secrets, fears and marriage all in two days.
The secret baby was predictable, a trope used often in romance to explain a sudden end of relationship or loss of contact. It is handled well by the author, even if Kane’s reaction to discovering the former love of his life had kept a child from him is a little unrealistic. Sky’s surprise at his initial anger also seems unrealistic.
Kane bulldozes Sky and their daughter into his world, taking the sculpture with him.
There are some aspects of slut shaming within the book which I didn’t like. When Kane first takes Sky back to the AEBR tour she seems very judgemental of cowboys and resentful of Kane providing clothes for them.
The main problem I have with this is that most, if not all of Sky and Kane’s issues could have easily been solved or prevented with one open conversation.
They both have issues from their past, but they were friends before they were lovers and one would assume they would have gotten to know each other enough in that time to talk about their mutual father issues.
This could have used more dialogue, especially between the protagonists.
This is a fun book to read, there is good insight into the world of pro bull riding, a vivacious child and emotional revelations.

Cowboy Come Home by Sinclair Jayne
The 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo Book 3

Boone Telford has been on the rodeo circuit for almost a decade when he meets Piper Wiley. The two decide to travel together for the summer as he goes from rodeo to rodeo. They agree it is no strings attached but with time the two become so very close that feelings are hard to avoid. Boone is sure he needs…well…he is not sure what he needs but it all has to do with “more” and that means there is not time now for a woman to become a permanent fixture in his life. As close as Boone and Piper are they reach a point where the end of the road seems to have been reached though neither is really sure they want it to be the end of the road. As Piper decides to move forward and guard her heart Boone is left in a type of limbo that takes some time to work through.

This author creates characters I feel I know and end up caring about. There were times I wanted to sit Boone down and smack some sense into him but thankfully someone else stepped in for me so…whew! Piper on the other hand seemed a lot more together and mature with a plan in place and goals that were measurable…I really liked her and was happy for her when everything seemed to finally work out.

Kane by Sinclair Jayne
American Extreme Bull Riders Tour #6

Beautiful writing made me see Kane, Sky’s sculpture of him, the bulls to be ridden and the one in the sculpture. I knew just what each of the main characters was feeling and thinking although there were times I wanted to smack one or the other and say…”grow up, share, and communicate!”

I am not one to believe in second chance at love romances because my personal experience dating a guy, breaking up and then dating him again later proved to me that I was right to have moved on because what bothered me in the past still bothered me the second time around. That said…this couple were not truly bothered by one another they just made assumptions four years previously that saw them both hurt due to lack of communication. They were young, carrying baggage, had personal plans for the future and loved one another BUT the love they felt was either not strong enough or their communication skills were not mature enough to take the risk required for them to have their HEA immediately. Instead, they had time to mature a bit before their second chance appeared and they were given the chance to try again. So, Kane goes to an art gallery, sees Sky, finds out he has a daughter and they realize they still have feelings for one another BUT have they matured enough to get it right this time?

From the back stories of the two main characters it is clear they both had issues to deal with and in some ways I would have liked to have seen a bit more resolution for both of them with their rather obnoxious parents – not sure they ever will get it – but kind of hope they would before the end of the story. Perhaps there will be a spin-off series for Kane’s half sisters?

We do get to see and hear about the other Wilder brothers and a few of the other men on the AEBR tour and are introduced to a few others that may show up in future books in the series. I looked up the other books about the Wilder brothers and found I had read all but one of them and looking at my reviews of those stories can honestly say I enjoyed them. AND I have read all of the AEBR Tour series to date and love these men and the stories about their lives and loves.

The Wilder Brothers series
Book 1: Seducing the Bachelor – also part of Bachelor Auction Returns #3
Book 2: Want Me, Cowboy - also part of The 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo #3
Book 3: The Christmas Challenge – The Wilder Brothers #3
Book 4: Kane – The Wilder Brothers #4

Disclaimer: I was provided this book for free in return for my honest review.

I can’t say enough about how great this book was. The storyline, the characters, the drama, the romance. Miranda is such a lovable character and Whitman is such a hard nut to crack, that you can’t help but cheer for him. If I say much more I’ll give away too much.

I was excited to find that this is part of a series and cannot wait to download the rest!!

Sexy, romantic, heroic, with a believable romance and no cheesy lines!
First lets talk about that cover. What on earth is happening with that flame placement ? I had at least 6 people point that out to me. Didn't anyone look at it before going to publishing ? Poor cover design, but great inside.
I won this book and had low expectations, I expected the average cheesy romance that follows a over used formula. What I got was a very well written story about interesting characters with full backstories and real life issues. Not one eye roll from this reader. Woot Woot.
A young female fire jumper is on a learning exchange program in Australia from Montana. She was picked for this program for several reasons. One being her Grandfathers funeral is in the same area, so she has family there to support her. The other is that she is "damaged" emotionally from a great loss of her unit in a forest fire. She needs time to recover her footing and to morn. Right off the plane she heads to the funeral where she meets a sexy firefighter, and a one night stand is just the right medicine for this messed up time. Sparks fly the sheets heat, she walks away but karma nips her and she bumps into him again.
He is a firefighter who has raised his siblings, taken care of others all his life. He loves like he works with all his being, and he wants this crazy jumper from the USA in more than his bed.
I really enjoyed their stories, each had such a different and difficult trail to walk to get where they were. Both were such honest people, no game playing, no half held truths. I liked them, would invite them over for coffee and pie. I can not wait for more of this series.

Valentine’s At The Graff by Sinclair Jayne
Holiday at the Graff #4

Valentine’s Day – what does it mean to you? Well, Miranda Evans hears people talking one evening that remind her of grinches…Valentine’s Day Grinches. They spout off about the commercialization, expectations and how overblown the day has become and it makes her put her thinking cap on. She is opening a new store in the Graff Hotel on the first of February and decides to run a Valentine’s Day promotional event that will incorporate random acts of kindness and giving. She is a person who has given and given to family and community but hasn’t necessarily been given back in return.

As she is retrieving an item to be repurposed she falls from a ladder to the ground at the feet of handsome orthopedic surgeon Whitman “Witt” Telford. He was in her high school class but a bit aloof and never really saw her – or anyone else – though she had a crush on him. He is back in town for a month to help out at the local hospital until his fellowship begins in California but he has no desire to be in Marietta and is eager to leave as soon as he can. When his stepmother puts him in charge of a young female cousin he is a bit at loose ends until Miranda steps in to help out. With one thing leading to another he offers her the job of part-time Nanny until his father and stepmothr return.

Miranda is a cheerful, warm, positive and loving person that brings Petal out of her shell. She also begins to make an impact on Witt that provides them both with a warm friendship. There are conversations, activities, sharing and caring that end with the Valentine’s Ball at the Graff. Both know that Witt has to leave but Miranda really wishes he wouldn’t.

This is a story of family, community and friendship. It is a story of childhood misconceptions that have lingered and festered and need to be lanced. It is a story of becoming aware of what is really important in life and then learning to reach out and grab for it rather than letting it slip away. And, it is a sweet heartwarming story that made me smile and care and wish I could be there.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tule Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.

This book instantly pulled me in! It's a well written, fast paced cowboy romance about Kane and Sky who have loved for each other for a long time but lack of communication ends their relationship until they run into each other years later. It's a book that will have you wanting to check out more from Sinclair Jayne.

This is romantic, sexy, amusing and fast paced story. Kane is a demanding and determined man. But he's also smart, sweet, loving and romantic. Sky is naive, foolish, stubborn and shy. Both are insecure. This was a really charming story. I love how sweet and caring Kane is even when he's going all alpha. Colt is an intriguing character, he is so caring and natural with Montana, but has the air of being ultra tough. This is a must add to your TBR list.
