As usual, this author has made me fall deeper and deeper in love with this family. I cannot think of a better way to end this series than tying it together with Joseph (he was introduced In the Christmas Novella) and Holly. Like all the other characters these two had their own sense of baggage. However, they were so much more. I liked how the author tied in photography as a way of showing how one has to be present and invisible at the same time. I chuckled at Sweet little Grace and her fascination with Holly's hair. I loved how the author didn't sugarcoat the feelings and guilt that Jospeph had over losing his first wife and trying to rationalize the love he felt for Holly.

Some amazing scenes with this crazy but totally beautiful and amazing family. One of my favorite series I have ever read. This author writes poetry.

This author is magic

I discovered this author this year and fell in love with the way she crafts a story. I was sad to see the end to the amazing Amaryllis series. I needn't have worried because she proved that it is her ability to create characters and stories that jump off the page that makes her a force to be reckoned with.

I loved that she, again, tackled a sensitive topic and handled it with grace and care. So many families deal with this and there can never be enough attention to this problem. It truly takes a village to help counter the destruction that this can cause. Well done.

This author is always guaranteed to write a story that is poignant and can make me feel all the emotions. This was a great second chance. This author is gifted in how she takes pen to paper.

The reason it doesn't rank higher was I truly never accepted her reasons in not contacting Jennings after she finally knew where he was. Especially, as she is all about giving her son everything. It just didn't resonate. Regardless, if I just ignored that and instead just focused on the rebuilding of this amazing love story then it was great. This book had the emotional feelings of the Amaryllis series. I can't wait to see what is next.

I fell in love with this author and her Amaryllis series. Much like that series, this one is slowly evolving into another sleeper hit. It starts slow but it builds. Strong characters, a storyline with a hidden message, and the perfect amount of chemistry make this a great book.

Interesting

I'm torn on this review. When I saw there was a new Amaryllis book I immediately gobbled it up because I have loved this series and these characters. However, this left me a little down. It was great to see some of my favorite characters again but this book felt rushed. I liked the idea of Marco and Lynne but I felt they didn't get to shine the way they would have if this was a longer book. It felt rushed. Especially, because a portion of this book reintroduced the previous books and the history. I'm not saying that was all bad because it was nice to get a refresher. Yet, in a book that is less than 150 pages it didn't allow time to foster this new relationship the way that these characters deserved. Marco had an important backstory and I wanted that to get the attention it deserved.

That being said, ill round this from 3.5 stars to 4 stars because I really do love these characters. I look forward to where this author takes this series and the next generation next.

This book was a trip. It was hard to keep track of whether she was Leanne or Kylie at times but for the most part, it kept the story interesting. I was 1000% invested in trying to figure out who the intended target was. I liked Lee trying to uncover that.

This was a solid book by this author. I wish more people would discover her work because she is an exceptional author.

Phew. It's been a week and I think I've finally recovered from this book. I've loved every book in the Freeman family series so far and just when I think the author has done her best work, she blows me away. In Free to Breathe, we get to hear Corinna's story. Finally an answer for what's been going on with her since we met her in Dream.

I laughed, I cried, I yelled, I ranted and I loved. Seriously, there's a scene in a bar that maybe you don't want to be drinking or eating anything during for fear of choking. There are also a few scenes that made me cry, almost to the point of sobbing. I've never read an author who can evoke as many emotions in me while reading as Tracey Jerald can.

I could gush about this book forever but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. This one is my very favorite and my first (and only so far) five star read of 2019.

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review. Free to Breathe is available for sale on January 24, 2019.

6 amazing stars. I was sobbing. When my thoughts are slightly more coherent, a real review will be posted but man oh man. This one was a gut punch.

ETA: Okay real review time. Sort of.

I finished this book a week ago today and honestly, I'm still not recovered. I was on a streak of 4 star books and every book since I finished this one has been 2 to 3 stars. Nothing is gripping me and I'm not invested in the characters. I think I'm a victim of book hangover and this one won't let go.

While all the Freeman books can be read as standalones, I do not recommend doing so. To fully grasp each story and be present, I think it's important to start at the beginning. Free to Believe picks up about a year after Free To Breathe ends and I was not prepared for events that transpired in that year. HOWEVER, once I got over my anger at the author (which I communicated to her of course), I see why Emily had to take the journey she took.

I don't want to give any spoilers but I will say this. Be prepared. I went on an extreme emotional roller coaster with this book. I was mad at the beginning, then amused but cautious, then probably mad again, then scared and by the end sobbing with both sad and happy tears. Literally, sitting on my couch, sobbing at certain scenes. It's a good thing my husband wasn't around because he would have been so confused and probably made fun of me.

I loved this book. I can't stop thinking about and if it wouldn't gut me again, I'd read it again right now. Absolutely the best in the series so far. Please please please do yourself a favor and pick this series up.

And side note, there's a minor character in the book who has the same name as me with the same spelling. I maybe squeed out loud and messaged the author immediately.

Warning: if you don't like smut, these aren't the books for you. Some graphic content in each book dealing with abuse of all kinds so be warned and take care of yourself while reading.

My thanks to Tracey for always being amazing and allowing me the privilege of reading her books before they hit the shelves. I am so glad to have you in my life.

I received this book for free but all opinions are my own.

I keep putting off writing this review because this book gutted me and I had to work to get myself out of the depression I felt when it was over. Here’s the thing, it’s a great book. But it’s so deeply personal that it brought up A LOT of memories I didn’t enjoy revisiting. High school was miserable for me at times. Being called the hairy scary wildebeest that no one wanted to ever sleep with, having meat thrown at my face, rumors spread about me, etc. It was terrible.

Kelsey, the main female character of ER, has her own miserable memories about high school. But she faces them head on by being a badass babe who attends her high school reunion. Seriously earned some brave points with me. And what do you know, most people from high school were still just as awful as they once were. But she did it and survived.

What follows the reunion is a story of redemption and acceptance. Not just acceptance of the past but of who you are at the present and how the past shaped you. Mix all that with a trip to New Orleans, a lot of great shoe talk and a visit from some of Kristen Proby’s Boudreaux characters and it’s a super emotional, hard to read at times, amazing story. Easy Reunion is set in the Boudreaux universe and is brought to us by Lady Boss Press.

Many thanks to Tracey, Foreward PR and Lady Boss Press for an advance copy of this work. I give it 4/5 stars. Easy Reunion goes on sale tomorrow, watch out for my release day blitz on the blog.

Until next time, happy reading.

Many thanks to the author and Foreward PR for an advance copy of this book. It should be no secret to any of you that I love Tracey and her work. She's an amazing author and all around wonderful person. Her latest series, Glacier Adventures, starts tomorrow with Kara and Jennings in Return by Air. I wasn't sure how to feel after leaving behind the Freeman family last year but as usual, I was worrying for nothing.

RBA is a second chance romance story. Reunited after 15 years at a memorial service, sparks fly and old feelings resurface between Kara and Jennings. Secrets are revealed and Kara and Jennings know that nothing is the same and yet everything is all at the same time.

The story gripped me from the very beginning. Full of witty banter, deep emotions and set in beautiful Alaska, I was hooked. Descriptions of lumberjack shows certainly helped with all of that as well. As usual, I'm shying away from spoilers so I won't go into the plot but the characters Tracey has created for this trilogy are honest and gripping and fiercely love one another. Found family is once again a theme and I love the relationships that are represented here.

I think I read the book in one sitting, so engrossed, I couldn't even find the time to yell at Tracey like I usually do. Grab your tissues, your blankets and get settled. You're going to love it.

My favorite Kristen Proby series is The Fusion series. I was ecstatic because restaurant means Mia and I wasn't disappointed by seeing Mia again! That being said, and it hurts me to say this, this was not my favorite Tracey book. Don't get me wrong, it's still 3.5 stars and that's good from someone who has an average rating of 3.05 stars (me) on GoodReads. I am not sure what prevented my from loving it so I'll tell you what I liked and then what I didn't.

Likes
1) Mia obviously
2) Jonas Rice. I loved him. He was sweet and challenging and funny and dreamy. And he listened when Trina spoke.
3) Jonas and his brother's relationship, along with their uncle. It was sweet and funny and I enjoyed their dynamic.
4) The wonderful food descriptions. Made me huuungry and also sad to be missing my annual NYC trip. Are those places real cause I need to go!
5) The amount of research and work Tracey obviously put into the story from the food to the places in NYC, it was awesome

Not so much liking
1) I can only take so many food puns. If you love puns, you will love this
2) Trina. I have no idea why I didn't like her but I never connected with her. Her BFF I adored and wanted more of her story but Trina, I honestly got annoyed by her every time she opened her mouth.
3) Trina's mom. Even with how that arc ended up, I was still just mad. Mad mad mad.

I still love Tracey and her books and I think after 9 other books where I gushed, a little less gushing isn't the worst. I still think it was a good book and that if my dislikes sound like pluses for you, you should definitely read it. I'm glad I did and I think at some point when life calms down a little, I'm going to read it again and see if I can change my mind/pick up on why Trina and I aren't friends.

I was given an ARC of this book by the author and her publicist. This in no way impacts my views.

I loves me a second chance romance. Especially when you couple it with friends to lovers. To borrow a phrase from Fated Mates, it's like catnip to me. Add in the female MC taking back her life and figuring out who she is outside of a relationship and get that in my veins! Meadow, straight off a divorce, begins a new job in a new place, away from her family. Shenanigans occur and Kody ends up bringing his construction crew to help her rebuild. Of course they fall in love along the way and have to navigate all the nuances that go along with second chance romances, especially when children are involved. I will say I usually don't care about kids in a story but I was kind of bummed there wasn't more development there or at least it had occurred earlier in the story but it worked and I get the reasoning.

While the book can be read as a standalone, I'd highly recommend reading book one first. You get a better understanding of the relationships here and some needed backstory. I'm still holding out we get Jed's POV at some point, even in a novella. One thing Tracey does so so well is writing found family and navigating relationships in her work and RBL is no exception.

Now, when can we go to Alaska?

3.5 stars

Many thanks to Tracey and Linda for an ARC of the book.

I think this might be my favorite of the three in the series. Maris has been to hell and back throughout her life and in love with Nick for just as long. Tracey always does an amazing job of making the reader feel the emotions of her characters so grab your tissues with this one because oof, it packs a wallop. Getting to know more about Jed and Dean just cements their need for a novella (come on Tracey, you know you want to) and adds richness and depth to the back story for these characters.

The epilogue was much needed after I had a couple of unanswered questions from the story itself. Plus I always love a good look at the future of characters I've grown to love so much.

Family, especially found family, is written well as always by the author. Also, I love a good plot line where the alpha male realizes he may have been a dick and grovels. Love a good grovel. Sad to see the trilogy end but ready for the next adventure.

I want more!! Carys and David's story was fun! Carys is 100% a bad ass and she knows it. Her first meeting with David just illustrated what a bad ass she was and I love a strong woman. It was such a fun journey through their Valentine's Day gone wrong but oh so right. And for 56 pages long, Tracey packs in some super hot scenes. Spicy! I really wanted more and yet at the same time, I think a perfect story was told in such a short time, which to me, is the sign of a great author. Can't wait for the next one!

After getting a taste of these characters in Perfect Proposal, I was excited to take another trip in to the world of Carys, David, Ward and Angie. And now Becks and Sula too!! Angie is one of my favorite heroines to date of Tracey's books. She is strong, amazing at her job and super super smart. I love how she made Ward a better person and he helped her figure out who she is. I also love that Ward immediately believed Angie when she told him her dark secret and took action right away. I was worried that it was going to be a whole angsty thing but it was perfection in the way it was dealt with. One of my favorite parts of this book was all the mentions of characters from other books and cameos. It made my inner fan-girl squee with glee. I cannot wait to read the next book! Bring on Becks!!

**Many thanks to Foreward PR for an advance copy of this book.**

Trigger warnings added: discussion of sexual assault. loss of parents.

Holy hell

This author and series might be the death of me. The amount of emotions that they make me feel is enough to cripple me. Every book so far has had at least one, if not more, moment that makes me tear up. The characters, the family, the connections, the inner message/moral, and just simply the unconditional love that is shown is truly awe inspiring.

This series has truly been one of my all time favorites. Every time I say that certain characters are my favorite it changes. For now though, Em and Jake own my heart.

I cannot recommend this book, author, and series enough. This is going in my best of 2019.

My heart

Sweet lord. I had no idea going into this new to me author that she was going to gut me. This story. Holy hell. Cassidy and Caleb are truly what love should be about.

The horrors, and the subsequent aftermath, Cassidy went through was enough to give even the heartless a heart. She truly is the epitome of, "she believed she could, so she she did." What she endeared was handled with grace by the author which I greatly appreciate. The relationships she had with her family was beautiful. I loved the humor at the appropriate times and the true devotion proving that family doesn't have to be blood. I love how Caleb helped her and gave her the trust she needed.

Unexpected twists in addition to an amazing story made this a true gem of a book.

Where has this author been all my life?

I just discovered this author and I'm already in love with her. Her stories have elements of the ugliness of the world but without making them unbearable to read.

She creates characters that are real and flawed. They all are family. They fight, overreact, and ultimately forgive. Their love and sense of family are the best examples of humanity.

I love that these stories are standalones with interconnected characters. Each member of this family is becoming dear to me. I love Ali and Keene together. They just fit, almost like serendipity. They were kismet.

I hope each of the sisters gets their story because they deserve a happy ending too. I highly recommend this author. HIGHLY.

Bring on the Kleenex
Holy Crikey. All I can say is for anyone that has not read this author needs to change that as soon as possible because she is everything. This family is unlike any others I have read. The connection they share is sublime. They all are so vastly different yet have a sense of loyalty and unity that truly is awe-inspiring. Every book gets better and better, even though these are standalones in this series, the characters still play major roles in the new story. Even the significant others that come into the story become part of the foundation of the story.

Cori and Colby are facing an uphill battle trying to overcome misunderstandings from the past and forge ahead in order to have a future that has insurmountable odds stacked against them. Even knowing going into this that it would have a happy ending it still didn't prepare me for the emotions that the events leading up to that HEA would do to me. I was wrecked. The thought that went into the scenes towards the end for her family showed how truly beautiful Cori was. The world would truly be a better place right now if there were more in it like the Freeman family, Cori in particular.

Well done to this author for tackling yet another issue that is so rarely discussed.

This family is everything.

I wanted this story to be longer. I simply adore this family and the dynamic connection that they have. They truly show that love has no boundaries and doesn't care what sexual orientation, religion, or even color a person is it is always unconditional.
