As a book that specifically addressed the rise of corporate hog farming in Nebraska, this book has a somewhat limited appeal. It does discuss some of the environmental and economic issues surrounding hog farming in general, but the bulk of the book is dealing with issues specific to Nebraska, particularly the intersection of state and agriculture.
