This is a charming little book based around an expat girl's time in Paris and her interest in stamps. Beautifully designed.

At the Farmer's Market with Kids: Recipes and Projects for Little Hands / by Leslie Jonath & Ehtel Brennan; photographs by Sheri Giblin (2012)

SUMMARY: Give kids the power to choose the best. From picking the ripest produce at the farmer's market to cooking up a delicious meal or making unique craft projects.

COMMENTS: This is a cookbook with much more. It offers a way to share with kids where food comes from, the variety of food choices, how to select and store fresh food, and recipes that focus on fresh flavor. The farmer's market has taken on a new role in local communities, offering fresh, locally grown food. The book is broken down into the four seasons focusing on what you should be able to find during that time period. The recipes are easy and look great even to this picky eater that is just now learning to eat vegetables. The pictures in the book are very colorful and crisp and gives one an anticipation of visiting the local farmer's market to share in the experience. Each recipe includes activities for kids in the baking/cooking process to make them a part of the food experience.
