Well now I want a crusty french stick, some delicious soft cheeses, and a hot buttery croissant. Tout de suite!

Read the blurb. Everything it promises you will get. I liked that, despite being a romance, a huge part of the story was actually dedicated to the world of ballet. I also liked the inclusion of the search for pieces of art work that would confirm for Mia that ballet was in her blood. Pretty good YA romance!

Is this book Center Stage in Paris? Yes! It was fun, funny, romantic, poignant, and captivating. The author had me flashing back to ballet classes with teachers banging the beat with a walking stick and sharp corrections. With a high stakes audition, a family mystery, an unexpected love interest and an even more unexpected friendship, I was rooting for Mia to get all her dreams realized.

This is a swoony and smart read about Mia, a 17-year-old ballet dancer who attends a prestigious summer program in Paris. Her goal is to get the attention of ballet companies in a showcase performance, but she’s distracted by a handsome French boy and a search for her family history among Degas paintings. I loved how this story was a love letter to Paris, ballet, first love, passions, and friendship. Highly recommended!

I knew I would fall in love with this book (two of my favorite things are ballet and Paris..) but I had no idea just HOW much I would adore it. This beautiful book is about a young girl named Mia. Who is a very talented ballerina with dreams of dancing with the American Ballet Theatre. Mia travels to Paris to start her lifelong dreams of becoming a true, career ballerina. From here on out.. the story weaves around Mia’s friendships, romance, dance, family and finding oneself. I considered Paris a character of the book because it is so beautifully written about an illustrated for the reader to imagine. This book is a beautiful home run and I highly, highly recommend it!

This was such a sweet read!

I loved Mia - she was a relatable teenager who was just trying to live her best life and focus on succeeding in ballet. Her struggles felt real.

The romance was very sweet and I loved Louis. *me going "Loo-weeeeee" every time his name was mentioned hehe*

I think my favorite part, though, was seeing Mia and Audrey, her main rival, grow as characters and as dancers.

I loved this book, so I hope the author continues to release books like this in the future!

*now I must leave to go attempt to learn French so I can talk to cute French guys

This is an ARC I received from Netgalley. It was a little boring for me. I found it difficult to pick up to read and finish. Things were just too perfect for too long then out of nowhere something finally happens near the end. I felt like it was just thrown in there because she realized there was no real conflict in the story. Louis wasn't very believable as a love interest. I just didn't feel their chemistry. My favorite character was actually Audrey. I feel like she has a way better story to tell than Mia. Even the mystery with Mia's ancestors was a little flat. The instructor was repeatedly referred to as a strict and mean instructor but all interactions with him were completely the opposite. Mia would SAY he was mean to them but it was never really there. Even when he was reprimanding her for going out late he was still pretty nice and understanding with her. It was overall ok, I'd recommend it to readers who enjoy a good ballerina story.

Ah Paris! The perfect place to set a sweet romance.

Mia arrives in Paris for an intensive six-week summer ballet program. Representatives from the top ballet companies attend the final performance of Swan Lake and invite dancers to auditions. It’s Mia’s chance to make her dreams come true.

But when Mia meets the handsome Louis on the steps of the Academy, she thinks she might have time for a distraction. Especially when Louis offers to help her investigate the family legend that one of Mia’s ancestors was a ballerina who posed for the famed painter Desgas. Mia believes this will prove ballet is in her blood and her destiny.

I loved seeing Paris through Mia’s eyes! And her romance with Louis was so sweet! Those two are adorbs, even when dealing with the inevitable complications that come their way.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
