Kairos Britain

This booklet, published in 2013 by the organisation Kairos Palestine, is intended as a call to British Christians to become more deeply conscious of the worsening conflict between Palestine and Israel, and to reflect prayerfully on it and respond faithfully and courageously. ’Kairos is an ancient Greek word meaning ‘an opportune or decisive moment’
In December 2009, leading Palestinian Christians summarised the then situation in a document lengthily titled: ‘A Moment of Truth: A word of faith, hope and love from the heart of Palestinian Suffering' Otherwise the Kairos Palestine Document. Since its publication it has undergone a series of revisions that reflect the extant situation

In 2011, 60 Christians from 15 countries gathered in Bethlehem to consider revisions to this earlier document. It was published as ‘The Bethlehem Call’--summarised by the plea:

“Injustice No More. Here we stand. Stand with us’’

In 2012 another update was considered by a group of Christians gathered on the island of Iona. This update is known as ‘The Iona Call 2012’
