Each chapter in this book is devoted to a different type of mean girl. The chapter begins with a description of what makes a _____ girl (Snob, Gossip, Teaser, Bully, or Traitor. This is followed by a FYI/further information section, a real-life scenario, quotes from real girls who have dealt with this type of situation, a quiz, and coping strategies. The format will be appealing to young girls, what with the scenarios and quizzes, and the book does offer coping strategies for dealing with different difficult situations. LOVE THIS BOOK!! It is a must read for all girls and women for that matter. I am almost 40 years old and can still think of "friends" that fit into every single category discussed. Young adults will feel like they are talking with a friend rather than being lectured by a self-help book. I highly recommend for middle school and high school girls. My only question is, "what is the one for boys called?"
This is a must read for teens parents today. It deals with social issues teens deal with, and gives helpful info for teens.
