AUTHOR: Wow, Sci-fi with an inspirational message. This is a new one on me in the land of writing creativity. Author Sean Kelley is in love with "pronouns" i.e., who, what, when, where, and how therefore the reader should hold on but don't worry you will be able to keep up. "SERVANTS OF THE KING" is an inspirational roller-coaster full of folklore in an unknown world.

GENRE: Science Fiction; Inspirational

SETTING: Various dwelling places of warrior Judges.

CENTRAL MALE CHARACTER: Dal'Seaas (aka Seass); a Judge. Renn; an orphan.

SYNOPSIS: Dal'Seaas is one of several warrior Judges. Everyone thought he was killed many years ago until he shows up in a village that must be protected from a misguided warrior. A village that has forgotten their King. Seaas's first encounter is with Renn, an orphan looking for adventure and away from the only place that he has ever known. Dal'Seaas departs the village as a teacher having doubt about the boy that he adopts as his student.

WHAT I LIKED: For a female that does not read a lot of sci-fi, I must say, "this book is sci-filicious" with an inspirational emphasis. Quotes are accurate with regards to..... (can't tell you but you will figure it out). If you read a certain book, you will find the words in "Servants of the King" familiar. If you do not read a certain book, now is a good time to question and to learn what you may not know.

WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: Oh Sean, dearest, who edited this book for you? That's okay. You are "forgiven". Also. Too many "pronouns" can be a bit mind boggling (who, what, where). The cover does not reflect the book (who came up with that?).

I give this book (4.5) stars because apart from "what I did not like", I found the book adventurous, exciting, and symbolic. I spent time in self-reflection and yes, I cried for "me". I plan to read this book a second time. Sean Kelley, wherever you are, my sin is a lack of patience so I am impatiently waiting for Book Two /:|
