Ian Kennedy (1) (1932–2022)

Elegant, large-size monograph on Ian Kennedy's work for British comics. Although the focus is on the full-colour covers and prestige pieces for which he is best known, a representative selection of story panels and sketches is also included. The question-and-answer with Commando editor Callum Laird offers a welcome insight into the workings of a commercial artist in the pre-digital age. The only disadvantage (inevitable with a book of this kind) is that the gutter between pages often cuts through the artwork. Recommended.… (mehr)
