Peonies for Paige is a very sweet romance. Throughout the story we follow the heroine's big dream to work in the book industry. But as she is dealing with a broken heart, she meets a gorgeous man. Should she follow her dreams or her heart ? Maybe she can find a way to make both work together ?
If you love flowers, books and romance, this novel is perfect for you ! I liked the atmosphere of the story. I sometimes had the smell of flowers and the taste of chocolate cake while reading.
Paige is an interesting character that knows what she wants. I like that. I love how she doesn’t let potential lovers dictate what she should do. Her story with Trevor is interesting and adorable. I also loved how friendship and family relationships are at the heart of the narrative. Under the cover of a light story, Kasey Kennedy also explores more complex thematics such as classism and grief. Peonies for Paige is definitely a good read if you enjoy romantic adventures and a clean and family oriented story.… (mehr)

I did find the dialog a bit awkward. I didn't warm up to the characters and I thought that Paige seemed very stiff and no fun at all.
I also found it a stretch that she had been engaged at 21, and that her mother was pushing her towards Trevor.
I did really like Trevor. Him, I could relate to.
