Lannoo is professor of anatomy and cell biology at the Indiana University School of Medicine-Terre Haute, an affiliate of the Illinois Natural History Survey at the University of Illinois, and holds graduate faculty status at Purdue University. The Iowa Lakeside Laboratory: A Century of D… von Michael J. Lannoo
The history of the Lakeside Lab is interesting, and this book is a well-written introduction to that history. I only wish there was more. (Not counting the appendices and other end-of-book pages, the text ends on page 80. Given the amount of space taken up by photos, there's probably less than 50 pages of actual writing.) I'd recommend it for anyone who has worked at the Lakeside Lab or anyone with an interest in field stations.
How Aldo Leopold and Ed Ricketts changed our perception of the environment and how this led to the beginnings of the an environmental movement.
