Jox returns to England for most of this busy and peripatetic chapter of his WW2 adventures. The Treble Ones call and he moves up the leadership charts quickly. Dieppe is a disaster and another poorly planned mission creates a public relations fiasco costing him the squadron command.. So, stopping in Malta on the way, he arrives in Africa just as the Desert Rats begin the final drive to chase out Rommel.

This series continues to be interesting and informative as we follow Jox to several RAF WW2 hot spots.

A good start to a new WW2 air wars series. Good characters and an interesting current-day connection.½
