Caryl Ledner

This was one of the first books I read that was about a love story between the slave and master. It's nothing like Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemning's story, but intriguing it was. I have to admit it was my favorite love story while I was in college and I had a hard time finding it again to reread it. It's amazing how your perception changes with age. Still a good story, but I'm not as intrigued as I was at 18.
