A cute story about the adventures of a mouse family who live in the attic of the Giant family. When Grandfather Whiskers and Uncle Squeaky and Scamper go off to a convention, the older mice children help care for the many younger ones and keep them entertained. Limpy-Toes invents a car that runs on 'twistity" and the next summer they drive it out to visit friends at Pond Lily Lake, where Grandfather's skill as a doctor is much needed.
A generally light-hearted book, with family members supportive and caring of each other, but touching on anxiety about the convention-goers delayed return.… (mehr)
