The book starts out with a quote from sports writer Roger Angell: “Baseball seems to have been invented solely for the purpose of explaining all other things in life.” This latest addition to the wife's collection proves it. It masterfully and hilariously ties baseball to the oracle.The art on the cards is perhaps not as good as it could be, but the matches between baseball lore and the traditional tarot card meanings are remarkably well done. I am loving this deck! I've been reading oracle cards for a while but have stayed away from tarot because of how complicated it all is. But I'm a huge baseball fan, even running a fansite Jays In The House, so this deck was made for me. Themed decks can go so off the rails but this one is thoughtfully done. The baseball reference ties directly to the card's traditional tarot reading, which means I can look at the card, know what it means in a baseball context, and tie that into the reading.
