One is to start by reading the text in the middle of the page, which sets up the scenario. Then, read the text at the top and bottom, to learn negative and positive reactions to the scenario. Each scenario is followed by a FAQ page about the particular condition, and photographs of people who have that condition. Overall, a good tool for helping adults and children understand how to communicate kindly with people with physical differences.
Loved the "do this, not that" format, and the two-page topic-spreads, but in the end found little to take away. Fashion seemed to fall in three categories - work (not applicable), evening (haven't done that in years), and casual (now we're getting somewhere). Unfortunately, the Casual category mostly featured jeans with t-shirts - I know that! Sadly, the part I enjoyed the most was studying all the fashion pictures of famous celebrities - in my view, some great examples of What Not To Wear, and the dangers of too many facelifts!… (mehr)
