K. N. Licavoli

Vengeful Hearts is a really good debut novelette. Licavoli has an engaging writing style that swept me right up and planted me in the midst of the characters' world.

The plot is current and relevant, and could easily be playing out in young people's lives at any given moment. I loved the honesty with which Licavoli handled the content.

I would've liked a little more depth with the characters. I wanted to go beyond the party mode and understand what Emery and Max felt in the quiet moments. I also would've liked to see more of the urgency and panic that a young woman in Emery's situation would have experienced.

Despite my quibbles, this is a story well worth reading, and K.N. Licavoli is a talented upcoming author. I'm looking forward to reading more of her work.
