J. e. Luebering

It is an interesting compendium of author biographies. It includes 100 writers that have some lasting impression based on longevity or some other arbitrary reason decided by the editorial board. There are a few authors on this list that I have never heard of, but this is mostly because I don't really know much about Chinese and Nigerian literature. All in all, most of these authors have stood the test of time, won some award or reignited the passion of reading in children.

I am sure that a lot of authors were passed over, but when you have to choose from just 100 in all of history it makes those choices rather difficult.

All in all, the book was fine in finding some new information about some authors, but it really needed something more to make it better. Oh well, not much time was wasted after all.… (mehr)
