This book was published as part of a settlement for the mostly Hispanic families whose land was bought up by the Manhattan project during WWII. It's a fascinating story, and the history provided in the book is an interesting one, though it does go through the families in the area individually and might be a little detailed for the casual reader. I wrote a review for a library publication. I'll update with a link to the review when it's published.
