What can I say. CarTech books in my opinion are absolutely the best and this is another great example. This is a pretty cool little book(smaller physically than a lot of CarTec books) but it's loaded with 351 pages of 1001 corvette facts that would intrigue any corvette owner and probably a lot of other CAR guys/gals. The only drawback in my opinion is there are no color photos, a fair amount of black/white pics but they dont trip my trigger.
CarTech keep cranking out the great books!

I was actually a little disappointed in the book. First off, I am not a huge Corvette fan and have never owned one, but I do have an interest in automobiles and their history in general.
First off, the book is nicely organized with each chapter broken into five sections: Legend and Lore, Body and Interior, Engine and Driveline, Suspension and Brakes, and Number crunching and Press Commentary. Each Chapter covers a specific group of models. The first and last sections were the most interesting for me as a lay reader. The middle three sections were often dealing with numbers of models with a certain type of engine, etc., which generally lost my attention rather quickly. There was quite a bit of trivia which would be useful to take to your Corvette club meetings to stump fellow enthusiasts, but much of it was lost on me.
The Facts of the title are simply the paragraphs in the book, each new paragraph is a new "Fact."
There are NO colored photos in the book and very few pictures of Corvettes. Most of the pictures are closeups of engine detail, dashboard buttons, tail pipes, etc, to emphasize a "fact." The book would be much improved with color photos of the models being discussed, or some of the variants discussed, but they are not to be found. Cost of course is an issue, but I have seen many similarly priced auto books FILLED with color glossies of cars, so I don't really see the issue.
So, not an easy quick read, but interesting for some trivia for Corvette enthusiasts.

If you love Corvettes then this is a great book to add to your collection! It reads like short snippet of info but there are chapters to separate important changes that the corvette went through so if you are looking for something specific, it's not too hard to find. Even though I am not a know-it-all when it comes to cars, I have always loved the corvette! Steve writes in a very entertaining style but watch out, you're going to learn some new things too! I recommend this book to all fans of corvettes, no matter what year, and to those who love cars in general and want to know more about corvettes.

From beginning to end, this one is filled with fun and interesting facts. It's great to read slowly overtime, either front to back or focusing on the reader's favorite model of 'vette. Cartech has done it again with another winner in their 1001 Facts genre.

I won this book via LibraryThing.

Very fun book! It's not the kind of book you'll want to sit down and read cover to cover, but it's the perfect book to have available for quick dips when you have the time. And it is packed with amazing facts. I imagine even the biggest of Corvette fans will discover surprising things in this book.

This is a fun book. All the Mustang trivia you could want. The book is arranged chronologically by body style, from 1964 to the present.

Steve Magnante’s 1001 Corvette Facts is full to the brim with fun facts about this American Icon. The facts are arranged in date order from oldest to newest. It was interesting to read about the changes in the Corvette through the years.

The whole book was nicely done. Considering it is paperback, the pagers were heavy weight and glossy to stand up to years of thumbing through. This would make a great gift for any car enthusiast and would look good as a coffee table book in a man cave or office.

Steve Magnante's 1001 Corvette Facts is like all of the books by Steve Magnante books I have read, packed with tons of information and pictures. Everything from the Stingray to the Mako to V8's everything is covered in detail and in a fun and creative way. Highly recommend to any Corvette enthusiast or anyone who wants to learn about Corvette's in general.

This is a great little book, packed with facts about the Corvette, arugably America's most famous sports car. But it really isn't that little -- it is 348 pages of history, design and technical details, trivia, etc. -- anything and everything that would intrigue the car buff. I have never had the need some guys have to own a sports car, but nevertheless, the Corvette has a certain mystique, going back to the classic TV show "Route 66." Probably anyone who likes cars will like this book. One small complaint I would have is that all the photos (and there are many) are black and white. Color would have added a lot more pizzazz.... but then the book undoubtedly would be much more expensive. Still a very worthwhile book though.

Good quality soft cover on good quality paper. It is possible this will appeal to only present and past Corvette owners but there should be a lot of spillover to anyone with interest in cars of any type. There is no cheating with the title either. Steve is there numerically counting each fact as he enumerates with a paragraph. A lot of times you also get a good quality photograph illustrating his point. Eight chapters are divided into —- well, you will have to look for yourself but the nice thing is that each page has the chapter number plus the subject matter of that chapter. Really well put together, full of facts and easy to get to whatever interests you about Corvettes. Highly recommended for Corvette owners. Your only problem might be whether to keep it in the glove compartment or on the coffee table..

Wow, 1001 facts on Corvettes. This book informs the reader on so many things about the history and workings of America’s favorite sports car. From little known facts to body and engine design, this book has it all. The book has about 100 black and white photos (no, I did not count them) but I would have liked to see more photos. The corvette is such an attractive looking car (and has so many features mentioned in the book) I feel that a second edition should have more photos and in color. Other than that I see nothing wrong with the book. This is a great book for all car enthusiasts!

This book truly is a book of interesting facts about Corvettes. The book is broken into eight sections so it is easy to find the model you are interested in learning about. Anyone who has, or ever wanted to have, a Corvette will thoroughly enjoy this book.

Title says it all. This is a book of 1001 listed facts on the Corvette. Some are well known others were brought to light for me. Though this is history of the product it is by no means exhaustive. It is well organized. The author broken the Corvette history into chapters that cover specific eras. So if you are only interested in a certain era you can read that chapter. Read this book and show off your knowledge over the entire history of the product. A must for any enthusiast.½

I spent three enjoyable evenings reading through this "1001 Facts" book by Steve Magnante. Magnante is well known to the fan of automotive TV. He is also the author of several other "1001" books. Corvette buffs will love the rich detail of the Corvette's evolution so well demonstrated in this book. Those unfamiliar with the Corvette but interested in its history or those thinking about a purchase will find a ton of useful information between the covers of this small encyclopedia. Fact 270 informs the reader that some 1963 Sting Rays came without the splint rear window. (I won't give the answer away) Fact 857 tells which Corvette was the first to break the $100,000 price ceiling. And fact 550 explains which Corvette roadster was the first to be equipped with a power operated top. And so it goes. From number one through number 1001 are enough bits of trivia to occupy several nights of bench racing. Great entertainment coupled with serious education is what this book about. Enough reasons to plunk down twenty-five of your hard earned green backs.

1001 facts means 1001 information packed paragraphs. The numbered fact paragraphs would not have enticed me to pick up the book had I encountered it in a bookstore. The Mustang theme would have attracted me. A useful book for the Mustang enthusiast who wants to know more about their cars.

From Steve's extensive background on Mustangs to his interesting commentary on his experiences, all car enthusiast will love this book! The entries are well written and have just enough facts to leave me wanting to know more. This book is set up with a great organizational style and nice clear photos throughout. My favorite parts though are the Legend and Lore sections, to me they were "The Hook" for the rest of the sections.

I gifted this to my father. He is mustang fan and owner of a '68 Shelby, so this was a great book for him. He really seemed to enjoy reading through this and it has now found a permanent place on his coffee table.

For someone who saw his first Mustang convertible sitting outside the junior high school he was attending in 1965, and dreamed of owning one ever since, this was a wonderful read to peruse. If you like facts and trivia, you will like this book. I particularly like the facts related to the use of a Mustang in Bullitt, my favorite Steve McQueen movie. The book covers 1964 1/2 through the present day showing changes in the models, features and other interesting tidbits. Highly recommended to all you Ford Mustang fans.
