Just too... immature. I couldn't take it. There was no backstory, the dialogue was lacking any interest. While I like the idea of the book, I just couldn't get past the poor writing and lack of character development.
Add in the copious exclamation points that had no reason to be there and Allie's constant tears and you get a book that had potential, but the writing just didn't live up to the storyline.
