Ioan D. Marinescu

Ioan D. Marinescu Professor and Director of the Precision Micro-Machining Center at The University of Toledo, Ohio Previously, he held similar positions at Kansas State University and the University of Connecticut. Doi is currently Research Prof, and Prof Emeritus in Art, Science Technology Center for Cooperative Research, Kyushu University (KASTEC). Prof, Doi is a world expert in precision processing, a field in which is he published several books and over 200 paper in Japan and abroad. He is the author or co author of more than 200 patents. He is a member of the ECS, JSPE, ISME, JSPS JAP. Professor Uhlmann is currently the Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production System and Design Technology (IPK) and Director of the Chair of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technology at the Institute for Machine Tools and Factory Management (IWF) of the Technical University, Berlin, Previously Professor Uhlmann held various management responsibilities in research, development and applications engineering at Hemes Schleifmittel GmbH Co, Hamburg.
