Rezensionen

First, you need to know that this book is the sequel to Liz Maverick's earlier Shomi title, WIRED. Events and relationships are mentioned from the first book that are glossed over only briefly in this new book, so occasionally the reader might get lost while reading. On the plus side, for anyone who had read WIRED and needed to know more, here you go! IRREVERSIBLE does not disappoint or let down.

The story is sometimes more complex then I am used to in a romance. With Katherine 'Kitty' Gibbs 'perfect week' constantly reset back to the first day (Monday), and only Kitty none the wiser, the other people in the farce are hard put to keep things as they should be. The lengths needed to keep the world perfect are sometimes hilariously ludicrous, but Kitty doesn't question these things.

Leo was eerily creepy and his manner of revenge and 'love' were psychotic. Several times throughout the book I found myself hoping that Q or Kitty would find a conveniently placed rifle to end his mad scheme, but fortunately he gets as he deserves.

Overall the mild case of déjà vu that repeated events and reactions caused was well worth enduring to finish the book.

Well, I finished the book and I can't say that I was really thrilled with it. It was just a little too dark for my taste I think. It also could have been my mood. I'm not ruling out reading more in the series, but I definitely won't be listening to them because I simply could not stand the person who read this one.

The cover of this book is really cute and inviting. Other than the cover and some of the Hanukkah content, though, it was a miss for me. Two friends and I buddy listened to this yesterday, and we were all annoyed. Personally I'm just put off by anything that involves flirting with, longing for, or trying to grab a best friend's boyfriend (current or ex). That's the whole premise of this book, so I probably could/should have jumped ship when I realized this, but I was excited for a Hanukkah book. I couldn't connect with any of the main characters. There was one fun scene at a holiday market.... other than that, I was in a hurry to finish this and move on to something that I would enjoy more.… (mehr)

Wired Steampunk romance by Liz Maverick
Don't understand this genre but thought I'd give it another try.
To me it's futuristic and lots of techno terms where there's no standard set yet.
Wirecrossing is like going through time warps/holes and why do you want to keep repeating the same day over and over just like groundhog day.
Don't think things will be changing and if so there are very small changes that don't change the outcome.
Imaginative I can say.
