I received this book as an Early Reviewer. I did not finish it. The writing did not capture my attention. In fact, I felt like it was written by a young adult. Maybe it was?

I never received my giveaway copy.

I tried to read this, but I wound up dropping it about halfway through. There were a few interesting bits of plot setup, but on the whole I found the characters unrealistic, the writing stilted, and the book entirely too long.

I hate to say this but I have tried and tried to read this book...but as of about a quarter of the way through I am stopping. I am not someone who usually gives up on a book, but just cannot get into this one.
Seems like a great story premise, but I just can't get past the stilted (for lack of a better word) writing style. I will hold onto the book, maybe try again at a later date.

This book was so good! I liked all the characters and the writing was really well done. As an American I liked that the author would explain the British phrases instead of assuming every reader knew what he meant. The scariness level was perfect and kept me on the edge of my seat. I had a hard time putting this book down. I can’t wait for the next book!
