A lightweight (literally and figuratively) natural and cultural history of a popular state park in the Santa Cruz Mountains, home of spectacular coast redwoods in their natural ecosystem. This well-illustrated guide to the park introduces visitors to what they will see there and how it came to be.

I could have wished for a little more help in identifying some of the most common plants seen along the trails of this particular redwoods park, without wanting it to become a full-blown field guide to the flora of Northern California.½
