This is an excellent book for English-speaking learners of the Russian language. It is a collection of fairy-tales/legends from all the countries that comprised the former USSR. There are explanatory notes and a glossary. The russian-language text is accentuated for help in pronounciation. The illustrations are beautiful. The tales are reiterated in full text in English in the back of the book in case the going gets tough. A must-have for English learners of Russian!.
