This book is a very good book for children that are beginning to read. The pictures are amazing. I will enjoy reading this book to my grandchildren when they are old enough to read.

There were mixed reviews from my 2 nieces, age 6 and 8, and I. We all loved the illustrations. With the bright colors and big bold pictures it was fun just looking at the pictures. My youngest niece especially liked the fact that the Boy that was on the cover was the Boy throughout the book. The ryhming format was fun and perfect for young ones. The concept and lesson of not being afraid to try and you can do great things is wonderful! What was not so appealing were some of the words used. My nieces did not know what some of them meant and I felt that they were a little beyond the age group that this book may have been intended for. For example, "the composition" of a bee? Although we may not actually "read" this book again, I do know that the 6 year old niece loves to look at the pictures and has made up her own story for the Boy!… (mehr)

I love the cover! I think it's a universal image that's appealing to children & adults alike. I fondly remember lying in the grass & staring up at the clouds & losing myself in what I saw up there & what possibilities there would be in life! What a great message/image to start with.

I like the rhyming and the cartoon like pictures. The colors are vibrant, the images large & easy to see during storytime. Few words that are well-chosen for small children to both follow & remember. I was a little confused by the cheetah and the speed limit sign; until a few days later when it clicked...law of the jungle/speed limit. Though my confusion was from an adult perspective; I think children will think it's funny. My favorite pictures are the space ones and the astronauts. You can't see the face of the astronaut, just the reflection. Children can imagine themselves in that space suit! I like how at the end of the book there is additional information about the creatures. That really tied everything together.

I like the size of the type face (great for reading in storytime if I forgot my reading glasses); I like the size of the book/pages (just right number of pages too). I'm considering giving this book to our director to add to our room collection.

Thank you for the opportunity to review your book! Best wishes on your future endeavors. What's next? As a para-professional in the Children's Room of a small public library, I have the pleasure of processing new children's books, helping to manage our collection plus leading a storytime for 3-6 year olds. Receiving a copy of DREAM by Adam Montierth is a bonus!
