"Nights Rainbow" by Sarah Moonchild is a captivating mix of romance, fantasy, and moral dilemma. The story follows Selina Melsom, the youngest member of the last existing Coven of witches, who is given a crucial and morally complex mission: to seduce and sacrifice Grayson Byrant, a half-warlock, in order to save her species.

Selina is a compelling character, torn between her duty to the Coven and her growing feelings for Grayson. Her inner conflict adds depth to the narrative, making her struggle relatable and engaging. The plot thickens as Selina begins to fall for Grayson, despite knowing that his death is vital for the survival of her kind.

Grayson, on the other hand, is an equally intriguing character. Raised by adoptive parents and unaware of his true heritage, he’s a PhD candidate in Ancient History and Mythology who works as a bartender to support himself. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Selina, the stunning raven-haired woman with dazzling eyes who walks into his bar.

The chemistry between Selina and Grayson is electric from the moment they meet. Their developing relationship is filled with tension and passion, making you root for them even as the stakes grow higher. The narrative is a roller-coaster of emotions as Selina battles her sense of duty against her burgeoning love for Grayson.

Moonchild's world-building is fantastic, seamlessly blending the mundane with the magical. The contrast between Grayson's ordinary life and the hidden magical world adds a layer of intrigue and suspense. The story’s pace is well-balanced, keeping readers hooked from start to finish.

Overall, "Nights Rainbow" is a spellbinding read that combines romance, fantasy, and ethical dilemmas. Sarah Moonchild has crafted a story that is both enchanting and thought-provoking, making you question what you would do if faced with a similar choice. This book is perfect for fans of paranormal romance and stories that explore the complexities of duty versus desire.

I wasn’t able to finish this book. The story line seems very interesting but the writing is to melodramatic for my taste.

Gemma and Lucas is the first book in the Dark Elysium paranormal romance series. Lucas Strong is the handsome billionaire CEO trying to acquire a large media company. Gemma Stone is an attorney working for the media company. Initially the two clash, but Gemma finds herself drawn to the enigmatic Lucas. The more she looks into Lucas, and his company, the more mysterious he seems. But as she spends more time with him, she finds herself falling for him. But Lucas is not who, or what he seems, and danger will soon follow.
I am afraid I had a very hard time reading this book. I found the lack of a good copy-editor very distracting. There were many typos, misused words, strange sentence construction, and inconsistencies. Also, very little happened in the book. The two characters met, had a couple of encounters and one date (a great deal of angst and soul-searching) and then there was a violent confrontation with the main villain in the book. The book ended abruptly, and seemed like the beginning of a longer work, rather than the first instalment of a series. There was some explanation of the paranormal elements and of Lucas’s background but I found it confusing and it was difficult to suspend my disbelief.

Hopefully the book will undergo some editing before it is published.
