Most of us can easily identify physical abuse when we experience or see it. Psychological abuse is harder to identify, being more of an insidious thing that creeps in and destroys self-worth before you even know it's happening. I know because I've been there, and I wish someone had given me a book like this to help me see and understand the damage.

Finding Your Voice is more self-help guide than memoir. Morgan shares anecdotes from her own life as a way to discuss abuse in its many forms. Mostly, though, Morgan shares what she's learned in the form of a guide for identifying and healing the lasting psychological and behavioral wounds.
