Ok, my star rating reflects the fact that I just know the course associated with this textbook would be amazing. And the last chapter is a must-read if you've ever wondered about the relationship of maps to reality.

I do have to admit, though, that I did not read the entire text. I would have read more if there were exercises or end-of-chapter questions, though. And I did flip & scan every page and read most captions, boxes, section headings, etc.

And I 'read' the 4th edition, from 1998. Technology was just starting to make a difference, and, while the authors did their best to show the trends they foresaw, they obviously couldn't make this edition serve today's students.

So, yeah, I wanna take this class with a brand-new edition.… (mehr)
