~It’s hard to find something if you’re not looking for it.~
Set aside two days for this intricately plotted highly-mathematical science fiction puzzle. I had an ARC from StoryOrigin that got lost in the TBR queue and this is my voluntary review

Allow at least two days for this strange PG philosophical science fantasy which takes place in the Wanderer Universe of James Murdo and starts with three-legged Better Than Two seeking to climb a mountain. I had a copy via StoryOrigin and have finally gotten to review it. 5*

**** SPOILER ALERT ****
"Fractured Carapace" is the second book of Murdo's that I've read.
Unlike my experience reading the first book, the author does a great job of getting right into the main story.
Murdo does a superb job world building and character development.
I mostly enjoyed the book, however, the author almost lost me near the end of the book as I found it extremely difficult to follow with the appearance of the CENTITY. Despite that, I do look forward to reading more of Murdo's writing.
In the interest of transparency: I was given a review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.
This is my own honest opinion.

**** SPOILER ALERT ****
"Long Paradise" is my first Introduction to Murdo's writing.
The author could, I think, do a bit better in balancing the world building and story telling elements of the book. Mayhap, intersperse the world building more inline to the main story that he is trying to tell. Murdo does do a fine job of world building. At first though, I found the "setup" at the beginning of the story confusing and drawn out overmuch before getting to the tale. I am glad, however, that I hung in there, to make it to the "meat" of Murdo's story. It is an interesting and thought provoking story.
I do recommend this book.
I will also explore more of the author's work.
In the interest of transparency: I was given a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily sharing this review which is my own honest opinion.
