Interesting, but a bit uneven. Approaching the 25th anniversary of the eruption of Mount St. Helens, the author attempted to track down the people whose lives were most directly affected. He combines their recollections with reports from 1980, and describes how their experiences with the mountain affected their lives in the intervening years.
