While last year's inaugural Annual was good, Annual 2 is even better. From the lovely teal cover with a pair of legs disappearing into a book to the cute endpapers featuring the same legs, this is a high quality collection of stories, interesting short essays, interviews, art, poems, plays, comics and nonfiction (including a recipe, and a game). Children who love to read will find plenty to occupy them but those who are more reluctant are also catered for with comics, 'Where's Wally' type pictures and instructions for things to make (including a pattern so you can knit your own digestive system!). Aimed at the tween market and containing work from both new and familiar names, this book is sure to delight those who receive it.… (mehr)
