From age six through his teens, Keith Pascal was involved with Judo, Tae Kwon Do, and Shotokan. He settled on his current system in 1980. He is cerified to instruct in the Twin Dragons Style of Gung Fu, a system that inororates the principles of Bruce Lee.

The humorous yet to-the-point teaching style revealed in this book came into being in his garage, where he still teaches a agroup of martial artists. (Sorry, Pascal's class is always fulll, and there is a waiting list.)

But his teaching expertise is more than just 'garage born.' He started teaching magic lessons both out of the back of the magic shop, which he co-owned, and for the Eugene Parks and Rec. Department while still in his teens. In his mid twenties, he taught martial arts, at night, in the back of the bookstore which succeeded the magic shop.

Returning to college on a graduate teaching Fellowship, he taught both Italian and Spanish for the Uversity of Oregon, while earning his M.A. in Spanish and the Art of Teaching. He has built a career and a reputation in highschool teaching for over a decade.

At the time of this writing, Keith, wife Kathryn, daughter Quinn, Cassie (the old black lab), and Murphy (the young gray cat) reside in Eugene, Oregon.

'Wrist Locks: From Protecting Yourself to Becoming an Expert is a book that keeps on giving. Pascal not only teaches wrist and arm locking, but he tells you when to use them and what to do if something goes wrong. When you've learned all the locks shown, Pascal shows you how to develop an endless number of new ones. And he does it with a sense of humor...good book. Very Good!'-Steve Golden: Personal Bruce Lee student, Original Ed Parker Black Belt, and Top Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Instructor

'Keith Pascal has authored a book that is not only highly informative, but also highly entertaining. With the right blend of 'how-to' and humor, Mr. Pascal has given his readers the means by which to acquire proficiency in this often overlooked component of a complete martial artist's arsenal, without being in any way dogmatc in his teachngs. Bruce Lee often emphasized the importance of cultivating an inquiring mind in his students and Keith Pascal, similarly, encourages his readers to question, experiment and research for themselves every technique that he presents in his book-along with any others that the reader may encounter in the future. For this, as much as for a very enjoyable read, Mr. Pascal is to be commended.'-John Little: The only authorized historian of the Bruce Lee Estate

'This book is very in-depth and informative; I like it!'-Scott McAtee: Martial Artist

'In his book Wrist Locks, Pascal shows in a step-by-step, how-to manner the tricks that every martial artist needs in order to defend him/herself against any assailaant. thsi is the most informative, educational, and entertaining book I have ever read.'-Ben Rayack: Martial Artist
