this was very much just ok for me with some especially cliched writing and flat and undeveloped characters. what i did really, really like, though, was the ending, where we don't know if they actually end up together or not, where she is taking control of her life and what she wants and putting that first. in every other way this follows the formula for a romance, but this ending doesn't, and i very much appreciated that.
